Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. Her first release was humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed topics like race and sexual orientation. She then expanded her fans to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum began studying hip-hop in her teens. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies in college even learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. After graduation, she begin to concentrate on music. Following her viral success on the Internet the My Vag song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also contained were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. The final track was connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was released in the year 2015. The singer decided to make acting as a profession after having completed her two previous ventures as a musician and author. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films such as Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she landed an array of noteworthy roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
