Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. Her screen debut came in her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her mother played the violin The father of her is a professor of theater at one of Romania's best theater schools. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at the young Actor Gala Mangalia. The year 2008 saw her honoured as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. In 2007, she was in on the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 saptamani si2 zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 3 Weeks, 2 Days), composed by Cristian Mungiu. The film won two prizes at the Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize from the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Additionally, she was a child in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's five-episode The Last Enemy. Marinca was a character in Yasim's story as part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, in addition to the Romanian Drama Boogie. She appeared as Irma In Fury 2014 in which she played an German named aunt to Emma.
